SAS Pumpkin Patch

For 3 years I have wondered what in the heck goes on at the "Pumpkin Patch" and NOW I know. Today we unloaded a container of pumpkins of all sizes.

These pumpkins were carried out of the container, washed and dried, placed in the PTA office and await for community members to come purchase them next week. Not only was this pile created but boxes of small pumpkins were delivered to the elementary area to the the "Halloween Room" where every elementary student will attend and receive one of the small pumpkins to take home in the coming weeks.

Who does all this work? About 75 HS students who are all involved in service organizations. The money from the sells next week will be divided up among the 35 organizations represented among these HS students who will then use this to pursue their activities of helping others.

Now I know! It was a great day! I am looking forward to next week.
